Accessibility

Our commitment to an
inclusive experience.

Puure is committed to ensuring our website is accessible to everyone, regardless of ability or technology. Equal access to women’s health information isn’t optional — it’s part of who we are.

Our standard

WCAG 2.1 Level AA

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA — the internationally recognized standard for web accessibility. These guidelines cover a range of recommendations for making web content more accessible to people with visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive disabilities.

We are an early-stage company actively improving our site. We believe in transparency about where we are and where we’re headed.

What we’ve done

Descriptive image alt text — All product images and founder photography include descriptive alternative text for screen readers.

Keyboard navigation — Interactive elements including our chemical flip cards support keyboard navigation (Tab to focus, Enter or Space to activate).

ARIA labels — Interactive components include appropriate ARIA roles and labels to communicate their purpose to assistive technologies.

Semantic HTML — Page content uses proper heading hierarchy and semantic markup to support screen reader navigation.

Responsive design — The site adapts to different screen sizes and supports browser text resizing without loss of content or functionality.

Known limitations

We are still working on the following areas and expect to address them as we continue to build out our site:

  • Color contrast ratios on some text elements are being reviewed against WCAG AA minimums
  • A skip-to-content link is not yet present on all pages
  • Some third-party app content (chat widgets, review tools) may not fully meet WCAG standards — this is outside our direct control but we are monitoring it
  • PDF policy documents are currently not fully tagged for screen reader accessibility
